So how does every one think the 2012 season is going to go. I really like the pick up's that the Reds did this offseason how about anybody else?

Are we done yet?

This year isn't going the way we thought it would.  After another sweep by the Phillies, I thought I'd jump on here and see how everyone is doing (all 297 of us).  Do we still have a chance, or is this just a rebuilding year.  I wish we could live 1990 all over again.

Turning it around

May 9, 2011 12:34 am

The Reds are slowly starting to turn it around.  Within the next week they should be as close to the 25 man roster they envisioned leaving spring training with.  Great comeback start for Homer Bailey Thursday and a great start for Cueto today.  Hopefully getting Rolen back will help ignite the same offense we saw the first week or so.  It would allow B-Phil to go back to a more natural spot for him in the two hole.  Volquez and Wood seem to be coming around as well.  Get ready for an exciting run

Reds

The Reds will improve and be one of the most exciting teams in MLB.  Each year, their level of intrigue rises, with an enormous amount of come from behind wins, multiple homerun games, explosive bats, increase in stolen bases, better pitching, and the overall growth of a very young team that only has room to grow and achieve greatness.

Strong points-
Votto performing as an MVP caliber player
Bruce emerging and establishing himself as a household name
Aroldis Chapman turning heads with incredible speed and stamina
Travis Wood and Mike Leake showing young guns can be valuable
Hannigan and Hernandez showing that splitting time behind the plate is a good thing and both can contribute every day

Weak points
Volquez being inconsistent.  Starting games terribly and then holding his own.  Striking out a large number of batters, but allowing many runs.

Cordero and Masset being weak in the closer roles
Injuries plaguing the pitching rotation and bullpen
Having trouble with high caliber teams, but dominating weak teams
